Indian secularism is Half-Islamist, Half-Pakistan --by BBC Journo Tufail Ahmad

Indian secularism is Half-Islamist, Half-Pakistan ---:
by BBC Journo Tufail Ahmad
********
At a time when most writers and journalists were leaving no attempt in defaming the Modi Government on the Dadri issue, some wise words have been published in a website named www.indiafacts.co.in by Tufail Ahmad, a former BBC journalist and who is always known for writing sensible articles on some controversial issues.
-----(--)
People are angry at the murder of Muhammad Akhlaq in Dadri over allegations that he ate beef. Some say they are angry at Akhlaq’s murder, while others say they are angry at the murder of the cow. Some people are angry at the cancellation of Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali’s show of 9 October in Mumbai due to the Shiv Sena’s threat, while others are angry at Pakistani actors and singers being invited in India.
In the natural world, animals are made of meat and bones. Humans too, made of bones and meat, are animals. What angers them? Let’s look at their habits and ideas.
It is a bogus claim that we as humans are concerned about life, whether the life be of an animal or of a human being. For example, lots of people who argue that they believe in non-violence are non-vegetarians and eat meat in full awareness that an animal has been murdered.
In purely humanist considerations, the life of an animal cannot be less precious than the life of a human being. Among vegetarians, Jains deserve respect as they strive not to hurt even insects. It does not automatically mean that all Jains are vegetarians and pacifists, or that vegetarians do not murder.
On 23 June, Pakistani police killed a boy after he posed for selfie with a toy gun in Faisalabad, but Pakistani people did not protest. But if a Palestinian child is injured in firing by Israeli police, there are global protests by leftists and journalists file numerous outraged reports.
When the U.S. launched the war in Iraq, there were protests across the world by anti-war activists. When Saudi Arabia launched the current air strikes on Yemen, anti-war activists went to sleep. Pakistani army regularly kills people in Balochistan, but Pakistanis do not rise up. In India, secular journalists who claim they are concerned about human rights do not get angry when victims are Hindu.
Indian secularism is colour-blind.
Secular journalists who are angry at Akhlaq’s killing adopted total silence on a number of murders recently. Last August, army jawan Vedmitra Chaudhury was lynched to death in Hardevnagar, near Meerut, for saving a girl from molesters. In March, a Hindu man was abducted and murdered in Hajipur of Bihar for marrying a Muslim girl. Last June, a man was lynched to death near Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. A mob killed a man in Bhandup West area of Mumbai in June.
Secular journalists’ colour-blindness prevents them from seeing these murders: they do not get angry; they want Muslims to be murdered; only then they speak up. Indian secularism has tasted the Muslim blood.
Indian secularism is not only colour-blind, it is also half-Pakistani.
Secular leader Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, spoke with Ghulam Ali after his show was cancelled and will host him in Delhi. Secular leader Akhilesh Yadav, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, organised Ghulam Ali’s show in Lucknow.
But Kejriwal and Akhilesh didn’t invite our own Oscar-winning musician A. R. Rahman when his music show of 13 September in Delhi was cancelled due to a fatwa by the Barelvi group Raza Academy.Secularism does not like Indian Muslim singers; it does not like Indian writers like Salman Rushdie. Mamata Banerjee, another secular leader, supported Ghulam Ali, saying music has no international boundaries but she will not support Taslima Nasreen, the Bangladeshi writer.
Indian secularism is truly Pakistani, not even a quarter-Bangladeshi.
Indian secularism is also counter-nationalist: secular lawyers turned out at midnight before the Supreme Court to save the life of convicted terrorist Yakub Menon but remain silent on death sentences of common Indians.
Secular journalist Nikhil Wagle wrote: “Without secularism, India is a Hindu Pakistan.“
Indian secularism is not even Indian: it is incomplete without eating beef. It loves to eat beef because Pakistanis eat beef. It is essentially Pakistani. It aligns with Pakistanis.
In 1947, our people thought that they could give away a piece of India’s territory to buy permanent peace. The secular government of Manmohan Singh came close to conceding a part of Kashmir to Pakistan in talks with General Pervez Musharraf, the architect of arguably the largest jihad in modern times in Kargil.  Indian secularism is without sex, without consummating with Pakistan.
In his landmark book “On War”, German military strategist Carl von Clausewitz observed: “War is the continuation of politics by other means.” The reason Indians do not want Pakistani singers here is because Pakistan is practically in a state of war against India for nearly seven decades.
Through television and social media, common Indians can understand Pakistan’s war by other means. Pakistan has not formally declared a war, but Indians have grasped the obvious fact of our times that we are in a state of war because Pakistan continues to send jihadists into India. Aamir Khan’s movieSarfarosh showed us that Pakistan sends arms dealers posing as ghazal singers.
Indian secularism is also Islamist.
In 2012, the secular Congress government did not allow Salman Rushdie to speak in Jaipur because secularism is in an incestuous relationship with Islamists. Mamata Banerjee does not support Taslima Nasreen because the West Bengal CM is in league with Islamists in the state.
Kejriwal’s secularism is in open alliance with Islamists. In 2013, Kejriwal visited Bareilly to meet Islamic cleric Tauqeer Raza Khan to seek Muslim votes. Last year, he sent Alka Lamba to meet Imam Bukhari’s brother to seek Muslim votes. In 1986, Rajiv Gandhi’s secularism surrendered before Islamic clerics in the Shah Bano case. Indian secularism is incomplete without its ideological cohabitation with Islamists.
On 1 October, secular gossip columnist Shobhaa De tweeted: “I just ate beef. Come and murder me.” The question also is: Will she draw a cartoon of Prophet Muhammad at the Gateway of India?
In a tweet dated 4 October, secular journalist Sagarika Ghose wrote: “Citizens of India, we need a campaign like Je Suis Charlie. Hold your head high and say ‘I am a beef eater’.” The question is: Will secular journalists draw the same cartoon in front of Delhi’s Jamaa Masjid?
The outrage is not about beef or cartoon. Indian youths are concerned over secularism’s double standards; they will support your right to eat beef if you are willing to draw a cartoon, even from your kitchen. The secular NDTV, supported by Aircel, began Save Our Tiger campaign. Why not a Save the Cow campaign?
India is a great nation. Its reality is this: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan makes the movie #PK in which Hindu god Lord Shiva is locked up in a bathroom and threatened, but he cannot make a movie on Prophet Muhammad. This is the imbalance in our national conversation that threatens India’s social cohesion. It is fostered by journalists.
India is witnessing the emergence of fascism from newsrooms, a movement of totalitarian ideas that divides us in order to win. Indian journalists are beaten up by Indians in New York or Dadri for their double standards. On social media, they are being called pimps and presstitutes, bimbos and bazaaru media because they sell their souls for a bungalow or a Rajya Sabha seat.
This secular fascism, in league with Islamic totalitarianism, wins by dividing us, but police must deal ruthlessly with any Indian who takes law into their own hands.

GERMAN's VIEW ON ISLAM

A German's View on Islam - worth reading because this is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. The author of this email is Dr. Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist--a man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, and owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.

'Very few people were true Nazis,' he said, 'but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of our world had come.

My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.'

We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.

The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the 'silent majority,' is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.

China's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual, prior to World War II, was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians, most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.

And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt. Yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.

Islamic prayers have now been introduced into Toronto and other public schools in Ontario, and, yes, in Ottawa too while the Lord's Prayer was removed (due to being so offensive?! To whom? Not to the vast majority of Canadians!).

The Islamic way is only peaceful until the fanatics move in.

In Australia, and indeed in many countries around the world, many of the most commonly consumed food items have the halal emblem on them. Just look at the back of some of the most popular chocolate bars, and at other food products in your local supermarket. Foods on aircraft have the halal emblem, just to appease the privileged minority who are now rapidly expanding throughout the world.

In the U.K, the Muslim communities refuse to integrate and there are now dozens of ?no-go? zones within major cities across the country that the police force dare not intrude upon. Sharia law prevails there, because the Muslim community in those areas refuses to acknowledge British law.

As for we who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts -- the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Anyone who doubts the seriousness of this issue and just deletes this email without sending it on, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand.

So, I beg you, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on in the hope that thousands, world-wide, read this, think about it, and send it on - before it's too late . . ..

KALIYUGA AS PREDICTED BY SAGE VED VYASA 5000 YEARS AGO.

Before You Point A Finger At The Indian Army, Read This

Before You Point A Finger At The Indian Army, Read This

Author Not Known

“Attrey ko bulaao,” Vic motioned frantically. He was lying flat on his belly. He crawled into the small clearing in the thicket of tress, and peered through the binoculars.
(Two bearded men constantly looked out of the third-storey window of a wood-and-stone bungalow, as if waiting for something. They were armed with modern assault rifles and hand grenades. One of them turned and beckoned somebody from the back. A smallish man came into view, carrying a sack awash in blood. Together, the three men heaved the sack out of the window. It hit the ground with a sickening soft thud.)
“Shit”, Vic muttered through clenched teeth. Attrey tapped him on the shoulder.
“Bloody, where do you wander off?” Vic asked impatiently. If he weren’t whispering, he would be shouting. Immediately, Vic began adjusting the younger man’s bullet-proof vest.
“We have spotted six civilians inside till now, three men and three teenagers. Till now, I have counted four insurgents, but there could be more..,” Vic trailed, as he fished his pockets. He took out a spare pistol and attached it to the holder fastened to Attrey’s belt.
Finally, Captain Vikramjeet Singh Sodhi stood before Lieutenant Mriganka Attrey. Both men looked each other in the eye.
“One, we bomb the house and achieve hundred percent fatality. Two, we go in and indulge them in combat; we get a chance to rescue the civilians. What do you think? ” he asked his junior officer, and buddy since Academy days.
Attrey turned to the six men watching the exchange between the two officers. “Bhai log, kya bolte ho? Saab, aap batao?” he asked Subedar Raghavendar, a burly gentleman with half an ear blown away.
“Jaayenge, Saab,” the Subedar replied without missing a beat.
Vic stared at each man in the dark-green huddle they made, under the massive blue Pine. Calmly, he briefed his men about the plan of action and positioning, and checked each man’s bullet-proofing, helmet and ammunition.
The men closed their eyes and remembered their Gods. Sita’s face flashed behind Vic’s eyes for a moment. A miniature bolt of lightning struck him in the chest.
The men took their initial positions as Vic had ordered. He jerked his arm at them, and the men disappeared into the forest to circle the bungalow.
Vic remained standing at the spot where the eight men had been a minute ago. He had decided to lead, attacking the north-east wing of the building where they had spotted the maximum activity. He looked up at the sky, for it had begun to snow.
They say when a person is faced with a life-and-death situation, all dormant senses of the body are set in motion, strengthening periphery vision, bodily reflexes, and slowing time.
Vic now felt the sweat collecting between his shoulder blades. His heart rate had slowed. He could feel every single frozen breath entering his nostrils, leading to his lungs and the ensuing blood that rushed through his heart. He swung his weapon to the front, and it dangled over his chest. He clutched a pistol in both hands. He frowned at the clear garden patch ahead of him, and prepared to run across the longest six point five metres patch that he had ever run.
Recently, there are many opinions floating around that since the Indian Army is a voluntary organisation, it is the same as ‘doing a job’ like the rest of us are doing. People have begun to think that being in the Army is similar to being a banker, or a financial analyst, or a software engineer.
This post is an attempt to alter this flawed perception. That the pressure of running late for a Monday meeting is the same as that of running to carry out a rescue operation. That the anxiety of walking into a room full of Board of Directors is the same as walking into a clear patch of grass exposing yourself to a spray of bullets.
He asks you:
What would you do if you were in Vic’s position? Would you have bombed the house full of militants from a safe distance, costing innocent lives? Or would you take it by the balls and do what Vic did? And, would you be okay if he chose not to go in at all?
He asks you:
What if you were inside that house, getting kicked around, desperately clinging to any shred of hope that someone will come save you? What would you like Vic to do, then?
If you were asked to be Vic even once in your lifetime, how much would you like to be paid? How would you react if someone questioned your salary? How would you feel if someone asked you why should you be entitled to canteen services or a government house? Or that why should you be allowed benefits under a Government Scheme?
When the soldier is not putting a cost to his life, then why are you?
In the moment where Vic is braced to break-in, what if he starts to calculate his Counter-Insurgency allowance and compare it to the risk he is putting himself into? It’s ridiculous, right. Well, we are ridiculous. Our apathy and lack of emotion is ridiculous.
This culture of comparing valour, compassion and sacrifice to a few thousand bucks is ridiculous. We have become so self-involved and uncaring, wrapped up like little spiders in our webs of online-purchasing and getting-the-look so much so that nothing affects us anymore.
We couldn’t care less if some young man puts his life at stake out there, on some Godforsaken hill at some Godforsaken area, bracing himself to get killed.
Imagine, if, in that moment, he begins to think like we do?
Imagine, if every young man in the country starts thinking like us, what sort of nation would be left to protect you?

Subject: A Tale of Two Muslims - Beautiful message from a Muslim Surgeon

Subject: A Tale of Two Muslims - Beautiful message from a Muslim Surgeon

A beautiful message from  Muffazal Lakdawala a well known Bariatric Surgeon at   Saifee Hospital, Mumbai.

 A Tale of Two Muslims*

Never before has the death of 2 Muslims created so much media and public speculation and scrutiny before.
One is the tale of a much loved public hero, a teacher , a philanthropist , a respected scientist, and above all; A people's president.

The other of an ordinary businessman who until a decade back was known to few other than his inner circle of friends and now hung for       being a terrorist and contributor to the heinous 1993 blasts.
How ironical that both have received much publicised burials the same day?
I am not a jurist or someone who has an opinion on the legal process nor on the technical details of the bomb blasts , neither do i want to argue on the merits or demerits of the hanging as has been done ad nauseam by legal experts and so called bearers of moral values of society . It is not my job to even debate the essence of capital punishment whether it should be given or not. This is the story of two Muslims by me a Muslim.

Yes It is true that both were Muslims, both born and brought up in India, one in a poor fisherman's village Rameswaram, the other in India's financial capital Mumbai. Both may have had the same opportunities, same obstacles, same so called minority setbacks, but see how different their lives and death turned out to be.

One Muslim died at the ripe old age of 83 and over a billion people grieved for his loss, the other had his life taken away in an untimely unnatural way on the day he turned 54, how many would truly grieve for his loss other than his immediate family is anyone's guess .
One Muslim died a hero of masses another a national traitor. One Muslim dreamed and lived to lead the nation to greater heights those even beyond this planet. The other unfortunately got misled and let his country down.

It is only natural as human beings to feel sad for the family of one who has lost his life even if it's that of someone who was an anti national and convicted for it but spare a moment and feel the pain of the hundreds who lost their own kith and kin so many years back for absolutely no fault of theirs. I don't understand people and politicians who want to give a religious tone to this entire episode , I hope the common Indian Citizen can read their bluff and not fall prey.
Here we are talking not of religion but of national safety and anybody remotely anti national should meet the same fate be it a Muslim or Hindu or Christian or anybody else.
For their own selfish reasons whether it's for votes or otherwise , some people incite passions in the name of religion from either community without laying out true facts. India has the second largest number of Muslims in the world as its citizens. So how do we become a minority? Where have they not had enough opportunities to grow ?
We have had 2 Muslim Presidents, the top 3 most loved and followed film stars at this moment are Muslim, the Indian cricket team has had a Muslim captain, A R Rahman is one of the few Indians to get a Oscar for India, is a Muslim. Number of Chief ministers of states and members of parliament are Muslims , Defence Chiefs and heads of police have been Muslim. I have progressed like so many other Muslims only because of our great nation and its policy of religious tolerance. Let's not cloud and poison our minds with a few stray incidents carried out by those with vested interests as they are not the norm.

Media, they say, has a huge responsibility but do you think it was correct that the same person whom they had painted as a true villain for being instrumental in creating blasts, was suddenly now being shown as the person who was being wronged, who should get sympathy.
Do you think that the President of India , the Governor , the esteemed Supreme Court judges all were wrong to convict him for his offences ? I believe they were just doing their jobs, tough as it was. The same media had a front page editorial screaming mercy petition cancelled for one convict and hanging today and on the same front page another article stated mercy for ex prime ministers killers.
If this is not being insensitive to the deceased family or inciting tensions then what is ? So should we believe in everything that media sells to us or even in that political class which refused President Kalam a second term. It's time that the Muslims in India stand up and be counted as Indians first , be proud of their nation and what it's done for them , be known for their patriotism because I bet all Muslims would be proud to be born, live and die as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam - The hero of Hindustan .
